At SISO we have a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals, united together by a common vision of a Canada that includes cultures, and values diversity, experiences and contributions of all people.
The work of SISO is essentially about breaking down barriers, which often prevent immigrants and refugees from reaching the potential of fully participating in the social, economic, political and cultural life of Canadian society, and contribute to the country's prosperity and growth.
We understand the importance of cooperation to
achieve
mutual respect, inclusiveness, harmonious relations and effective participation in the community. We are making differences in the lives of refugees, immigrants and visible minorities in the Hamilton area by:

Since opening on January 4th 1993 we have been dedicated to strengthen the ties of newcomer families with our communities, we aspire to make settlement in Hamilton an easy and accessible process for all. We provide information, assistance and services that are:
