Connection
At SISO we know that every day Canada is welcoming newcomers from all over the world, and that upon arrival, these newcomers may have no social connections. We have developed numerous services and programs for newcomers to participate in as well as for Canadians to volunteer in - such as Adult Conversation Circles where individuals can practice English or French in a relaxed friendly environment.
Our The Host Program is tailored to connecting newcomers with volunteers in the communities.
This program provides an opportunity for newcomers and established Canadians to come together and learn about and from each other. In a fun and friendly way, newcomers begin to feel at home and welcome in their new community.
SISO provides a number of different unique services for individuals; connecting them with other people in the Hamilton area, and reinforcing their networks. Some of theses services are for:

SISO also arranges and takes part in family friendly recreational activities, such as:
