SISO provides various employment services to Businesses, Newcomers to Canada, and Recruiters within the Hamilton area. We strongly believe that working together not only strengthens our communities, but also reinforces the ties that make Hamilton such as unique city.
We offer newcomers and businesses our Skills Advantage Database where we link internationally educated and trained individuals with employers and recruiters in the Hamilton community.

At SISO we provide modularized programs to help Internationally-Trained Engineers’ access employment or licensing. We also offer employment preparation, counselling services, and help explain the Licensing / Registration processes.
For International Medical Graduates we provide Career Transition information, plus employment preparation and counselling services. We have networks with employers who will assist you in making successful short or long term careers or employment transitions to alternative health care-related fields. We also provide a peer-guided study group that helps to prepare you for the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examinations (MCCQE).
We also offer bridging programs for individuals trained in the Accounting, Banking and Financial industry. We provide a mix of workshops, and courses delivered at SISO and Mohawk College; alongside workplace exposure opportunities designed to update skills, education, and assist you to successfully gain employment in this field.
